Report on the installation of road sign and public enlightenment to students at IMADE COLLEGE and ST. LOUIS GRAMMAR School, which they are adjacent each other on Tuesday 14th March, 2023 at OWO Town in ONDO STATE.
The program commenced at 08:00hrs at the designated School for one of the pilot scheme for the installation of a Reflective Road sign at Zebra crossing points.
In furtherance to the above and to ensure proper usage of the Zebra Crossings by students and pedestrians FRSC supplied man power and NRSP procured warning signs for school children's and other road users at Imade College and St. Louis Grammar School Owo to warn and inform motorists that they are approaching a school and Zebra Crossing so as to reduce speed.
The signs were installed and commissioned today by SRC Olukayode E Ogundare , the State Secretary Special Marshals represented by SMU 16 Coordinator, Engr. Paul Ogunlade and other Special Marshals of the Command. Also present were members of the NYSC-RSC .
The Unit Commander DCC Austin Ekele and his principal staff were in attendance including the Vice Principal of Imade College, Mr Femi Agboola and Principal of St. Louis Grammar School, Owo and their staff.
The program which started with a Public Enlightenment for both Schools at their Assembly Grounds was rounded up with a practical demonstration of how the Zebra Crossing is used for both students and motorists including motor bike riders.
The program was very successful and commendation came from the members of the public and management of both Schools.
The event came to an end at 12:30hrs with group photograph with various segment of attendees.
